My name is Lindsay Towndrow and I am so fortunate to join IHD. Health and sports have been my passion for as long as I can remember. My experience lies in both the health and rehab side as well as strength training. I was fortunate enough to be raised in a very athletic household. I had the privilege of playing hockey, and soccer, competing in dance, triathlons, gymnastics, and trying every sport I could !

Through my teenage years I took a different route and starting training and teaching yoga, getting certified with my RYT-200, kickstarting my career in health. I am a University of Alberta graduate with a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology majoring in sports performance. Through university I gained experience being a student athletic training for a hockey team and later on the HRHS football team. My practicum from university included 4 months of training as a kinesiologist in a rehab setting for return to sport/return to work.

I am certified personal training through Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP). I have been certified through AKA with Functional Assessment of the Spine and Extremities. As a trainer I come from a place of wanting to provide the best experience for this athletes in this program. Which will always include the best strength training, protection and education against injury and return to play therapy. I am excited to start my journey with IHD!”

My name is Marcus Lam-Peters and I am very excited to be joining the #IHDfam. Sports and athletics have been a big part of my life for a long time. I enjoyed a playing career in which I competed in multitude of sports these experiences provided me the opportunity, first hand to understand sports training.

At my peak, I had the opportunity to compete nationally as a 100m sprinter and in university I played football as a member of the Bishop's Gaiters. When my playing career was over, I moved to Lloydminster. I began coaching football at Holy Rosary and decided to become a personal trainer so I could train some of the team in the offseason. Seven years later I have been able to work with athletes in a number of different sports (baseball, basketball, boxing, football, hockey and soccer). Combined with my playing experience I have learned a lot about the type of training and support athletes need to become successful.

I have taken many courses to help me become a better coach. The most noteworthy of them being: I graduated from Bishop's University majoring in Sports Studies, I am certified by CanFitPro as Personal Training Specialist and I am currently working on attaining my CSCS from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

The players I am being entrusted with are getting a motivated and dedicated trainer. I will prioritize their development as athletes. I am looking forward to this new chapter with IHD!
